The women who have stopped circumcising
after completing the Kamilika health education and
job training program are busy at work making beaded
bracelets. The bracelets are made from delicate glass beads
and are painstakingly beaded by hand by the women. The
designs represent different aspects of the beaders’ lives
and are meant to be worn together. Soon they will be
available for purchase. Please help us make the name,
KAMILIKA, synonymous with ending FGM. By doing so, you
will empower women to stop the violence that has been waged
against them for centuries.
